God is dead. Well I'd never have expected that. But apparently so. Needless to say Mrs God is very upset and just a little bit angry. She believes her husband to have been murdered. So when you have a case involving God, there is only one man big enough for the job. Lazlo Woodbine, private detective. Owner of a trusty Smith and Wesson and a fedora that rocks. And of course a sprout in his head called Barry. In this story also follow a new character by the name of Icarus Smith. His art is the skill of relocation. Relocating wallets and other items of worth from their owners and placing them in his care. When he relocates a brief case from a gentleman in a barber's shop he starts the ball rolling on events that soon lead him into major trouble. A fine addition to the Rankin collection and well worth a read. Reviewed by David V.Baker |
