Over the years we've had many wonderful writers contribute to The Brentford Mercury. Indeed, we've been very lucky to have so many great writers give us their work.
However, in recent issues the same names seem to be filling up more and more of the space. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does tend to discourage new writers from submitting their work.
We are now looking for new material for the next Brentford Mercury. We will have lots of stuff from Michael Carroll, Lee, Four Pints Dave, and maybe even Robert Rankin himself. But we would also like to feature some new writers.
Whether you've written stuff already or would like to try your hand at it for the first time, we'd like to hear from you. We're looking for short fiction, articles (particularly about strange stuff), reviews, poetry, drawings, photographs, newspaper clippings and anything else you think might fill out the pages of The Brentford Mercury.
We are totally reliant on contributions from our members to keep the magazine going and the club alive, so please crank up your word processors or unpack your crayons and get to work.
