I'm sure by now you've all heard of the sad passing away of
Douglas Adams. I'd like to pass on this message from ZZ9. They
opening their meeting this Wednesday to anyone who wishes to
come along to remember Douglas Adams.

Hitch-Hikeršs Guide Fans Remember Douglas Adams

The news of Douglas Adamsš death last Friday was greeted
with shock and sadness by members of ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha*,
the Official Hitch-Hikeršs Guide To The Galaxy Appreciation
Society. Now fans of Adams' cult science fiction comedy are
invited to remember the author at a special meeting of the
society on Wednesday 16th May.

Since the news of Douglas death was announced on Saturday
morning, many people have contacted the society to express
their grief. In response to this, all fans of Douglas Adam's
work - whether or not they are members of the society - are
welcome to attend on Wednesday evening to share their
thoughts and their memories of the popular author. The
informal meeting will be held in the Florence Nightingale
pub, on the corner of Westminster Bridge Road and Lambeth
Palace Road, London SE1. (nearest tube: Waterloo) from 7pm.

*'ZZ9 Plural Z Alphaš (named after the galactic sector in
which the Earth is situated) was founded in 1980 by fans of
the original Hitch-Hikeršs Guide ToThe Galaxy radio series,
with the approval of Douglas Adams and his agent, and is a
non-profit-making organisation run entirely by volunteers.
