Issue 20 - 2003-02-13

Hi All,

I hope you all had a good xmas and New Year. Issue 31 of the Brentford Mercury was mailed out to members on Monday.

This issue includes a report from Robert Rankin about the first outing of his new band, The Rock Gods, an interveiw with him by Craig Cornwall and a news about his forthcomming work.

Lee Justice has started a series on Elvis, Mike Carroll continues the adventures of Ace Crikey. We have an indepth look at THEY CAME AND SHAVED US, our tenth birthday convention and we have some poetry from the Poet Laurete, of Peterborough, Cardinal Cox.

A correction follows, details of ACTION REPLAY, a convention Robert was due to attend are now incorrect as the convention has been cancelled, due to their sponsor pulling out.

The Dublin Sci-Fi club are running an award for various SF endeavours in 2002. I would hope that you might find the time to nominate Robert Rankin as best Writer, with THCBA as best book of 2002. Also I would hope that you would vote for as best website. Details and an address to fire off votes can be found at

Finally if anyone would like to send us articles, artwork, Lego or starnge food, we always welcome your contributions.

Best as always

James and James
