Well this is my first topic start on the new phorum, so it's as rivetting as all my old ones Laughing

This will be my fifth move since joining the club, so yet another change of address for my Merc, although as we waited 6 months for the last one, I'll hold off sending my new address until I actually here its coming out as I might have moved again by next year Razz

I'm not moving far, but we need a bigger house with the two kids now, and I need a room I can lock so I can stick my computer in there without opening up my laptop and finding it smeared in chocolate and beer (one of these days I'll take Cheryl to task over that)

Anyway enough drivel, and now I'll know how many people have looked at my post, and not replied Laughing

No, toffee fudge cake, but I think I'll pass on finding out for certain.

The previous Mercury was in November, so not far off six months. Note that we never state that the magazine is quarterly. Membership lasts however long it takes to get four issues out, which is usually a little over a year.

We generally try to get an issue out every 3-4 months. Looking back, it's not been uncommon for the gab between issues to be as little as two months or as long as six months (and the gap between issues 1 and 2 was well over a year).

This issue was unusual, and faces some unusual delays caused by a few unrelated issues all coming at once. James's move to London was probably the biggest. The next issue will probably be sooner to make up.

But look on the bright side - it means it will be longer before you have to renew!

But I got my 'RENEW NOW OR DIE' with this Merc and I only rejoined last May. Has there been four issues since then? I thought it was only three? Am I just having a moment after two weeks of blissful inactivity? Confused

Depends. Was the May issue your first issue? Perhaps James handed you a copy when you handed over your money or sent it to you shortly after. In that case, this issue should have been your fourth, and it's now time to renew.

Unless it's extreme cheese. Extreme cheese bad.

Like the xtreme cheese that is banned on public transport in France? All blue cheeses are wrong for me. God knows I've tried, but I just can't get over the fact that if regular cheese gets moldy you throw it away and this stuff has mold as an added feature!!!

I quite like the blue and/or stinky cheeses myself, as long as they're not too far gone.

Can't beat a bit of Brie with bacon in a hot baguette. Another favourite is Brie with black grapes and red onion in a sandwich.

And one of the nicest pizzas I ever had was in the south of France, with Spinach and Roquefort on it. Yum.

I can deal with brie - you cut the moldy bit off!
