Hi Guys, I hope I'm in the right area of the forum for this post (choosing one when you want to make a specific point could be, or is, a little confusing - well for me )
The forum clock is set to GMT, which means it's currently 1 hour behind the UK (GMT+1BST), the old clock was current UK time. Can we have that back or is there a reason for the GMT? _________________ Who are you? Why am I here? I want answers now or I want them eventually!

I fell for that one too, until Gaz put me right. You get to choose your own time zone in your profile, yours is probably (as mine was) set to GMT, but you can change it as you wish.
[edit] and this is exactly the right section for that sort of question. _________________ |

The thing you have to remember is that those of us in the British Isles are currently on GMT+1 (or if you prefer, BST). It would be nice if the forum time automatically took account of summer time (or if you prefer, DST), but that would mean taking account of all the complex summer time rules in different countries or even states within countries (for example Arizona does not observe DST, but a few counties within the state do), and different countries start and end their summer times at different times.
Perhaps someone has already done a forum mod to do this. _________________ And Elvis said unto Eve

Ahhhh we had trouble with this on our (Soliloquy) forum. Couldn't sort it out when the clocks changed. Didn't realize you could solve it on an individual level via your profile, so thanks for the tip there... _________________ Just Have Fun |
