So what pub did you go to after the Nottingham signing? Just curious.

it was a typical andi's five minute walk, and a just round the corner one, which was at least two miles away and round several corners and up some very dodgy looking lanes, jim.

it may have been called 'out of the way' more than once.

You'd need a map to get there.

but it was a decent pub with a dodgy bar lord who got well pi44ed off having to go down to the cellar for stuff repeatedly.

he didn't have a sense of humour, but the pub was cool. Can't recall what it was called as have been to sleep sinse then, lol

Twas the Kean's Head, a small but perfectly formed Tynemill house.

I was at the Notts signing. Really enjoyed it.
I assumed there would be a number of people from here at the event, but had no idea who any of you were.
What time did you leave the pub ? I've been ill all week, so had to give it a miss.
Mr Rankin is indeed a top bloke, and I shall make every effort to attend future signings and events.
And maybe next time I'll recognise a few of you!

Cheers,
Dave.

We went to the Keans head & Robert joined us after he'd signed the Shop copies.

People were drifting off by 10ish.

We stayed till kick out time - missed our last sensible train - waited for the late train at 1.51 - it was delayed 'till 2.27 - got to bed at 3.30 - up for work at 7. Yay book signings Very Happy

Hi Lee, helpful and informative as always I see. Still if you can't remember the name of a pub you've been in all night it probably means it's been a good one.

Ta, still not made it to that one; been meaning to. Tynemills are always worth a visit. And bloody nice to see Castle Rock Harvest Pale on at the London do. I thought I was going to have to be on bloody Fullers all night.

All the Notts Tynemills are decent. The News House & The Canal House are nice, Lincolnshire Poacher is great, & The Vat & Fiddle is excellent

Can't argue there. I really should get another trip to Nottingham in.
