As the title suggests, I've been wanting to learn for years, I had a dabble, and then for reasons that escape me, I stopped. Does anyone here play and know of any tips on how to improve? I've found a few decent looking sites with loads of chords and tabs, you tube is a wealth of shite and excellence, but I need something to help me start slowly, but that will keep me motivated.

Any help welcome guys.

How about lessons? If you join a class the cost is not that great and you can get feedback on how you're doing

Nice one Deep, is that the direction your bands moving in? Rolling Eyes

I can't afford lessons at the moment, signed up to a few on-line ones, I've picked up a lot of chords quickly, just got to improve my muscle memory, strumming, speed of transfer and just wish I could sing because singing out of tune affects how shite I play Very Happy

Get the words and chords for some cheesy country tunes, theyre usually 3 or 4 chords at the most, and its always a laugh when you go to a party and start "Blanket on the Ground" or "Country Roads".

Steer clear of Johnny Cash though, his tunes can be decpetively tricky.

Let me know how you get on, Im yer man fur cheesy country Very Happy
