I can't, I'm too old. But on the site where someone posted it, the teens claim it gave them a headache, or hurt their ears. Even some in their 20's can hear it. So I was curious if anyone here has sensitive enough ears to hear it Smile

Yup, I'm 38 and I can hear it and it's really piercing and unpleasant.

This reminds me of when I borrowed my parent's garden a few years back to check out my new tent. Loz and I were in agony over a deafening high-pitched squeal. Eventually my mum said they'd just installed a cat scarer but it couldn't possibly be that as it made no noise. Anyway, we covered it up so it couldn't detect our movement and lo and behold it went away. Confused

I'm 36 and with my speakers down at the normal 25% volume I couldn't hear anything. Put them up to 75% and it's there, a really piercing high pitched noise that actually make me jump back. After the first second or two it seems to disappear but I had a weird knot in my chest for the remaining duration. If I wait a few seconds before playing it again, I get the same result.

I'm 43 and I can hear it (quite painfully so).

I'm sure that it's also possible to devise sounds that are unpleasant to older people. At least, that's what I assume from my dad's reaction to the music that I played when I was younger.

I feel left out Sad

I'm 53, am I really so old my ears are knackered?

I had the volume full belt the dings when clicking on links were really loud. But when that played, there was absolute silence. I think the world is playng a joke on me. Everyone is pretending to hear it just to wind me up Razz I know how the story of the kings new clothes went. Laughing

Some on the other site said it annoyed their pets. Our old moggy must be the same as me, he didn't twitch a whisker.
