Hi, just joined up and I bring greetings from Australia.

Currently, I own 24 of Robert's books, hope to complete my collection soon. Favourite one is The Brentford Triangle.

What else can I say? Work in a bookshop here in Sydeny's north shore (love my job). Would love Robert to come to Australia in near furture.

Anyways, hello from Oz!

Hello, and welcome!

If you work in a bookshop you could always ask Robert's publishers to do a signing event..... might be a tad expensive though!

Hello Dexter you could always try and persuade the World Con Committee to have Robert as a GOH in 2010 in Melborne then he could do a signing tour in Sydney. Thumbs Up

Didn't Robert go to Australia once & they though they'd booked Ian Rankin? Or am I mixing up my stories?

Deep, your story certainly sounds familiar. Confusion over lots of people asking him questions about detectives and suchlike.

Rachie - not heard any tales of Scandinavian debauchery, but you never know.

It was New Zealand.

The Swedish one was where he was the GOH.

It was New Z and I loved it. I'd love to do Australia too, do they play steelpan down there? My wife is doing a phD in the spread pf steelpan around the world, so if I could get some signings and she could do some research...
over to you, Dexter.
Oh and thank you very much for Rolf Harris, by the way, we have done our best to look after him for the last fifty years, but you can have him back now if you want.

My best mate John moved to Australia a few years ago. I went to visit about 4 years ago and did a stealth wedding in Melbourne to avoid the inevitable family get together that weddings normally produce. Not to mention the expense, stress, fighting and assorted nastyness that goes along with weddings in Scotland.

All in all it was bloody fantastic. A lovely venue, the Old Treasury Building in Melbourne, nicely colonial Victorian. Beautiful weather, sunny and warm for the whole two weeks we were there. Even more beautiful country, vineyards all around Melbourne, how fantastic is that? A meal for five at The Hard Rock cafe after the ceremony and it only cost about 40 for 3 course each. What a country!!!

And I havent even got to the wildlife we saw there. Possums! Roos!!! Fruitbats!!!

Just one thing though..... Beetroot on a burger?? Its just WRONG! LOL

I'll agree with you on the beetroot.

Rob, I'm afraid I'm not a fan of Rolf Harris, so in my opinion England can keep him.

Well hello and greetings. How can you not like the Harris. He has a song called Someone Pinched My Winkle. Alright he's not a patch on Kevin Bloody Wilson but with song titles like that he'll be a favourite of mine Laughing
