Here's Ian's info about the hotels:
Captain Fantastic wrote: | For those spending the weekend in historic Brentford there are a few choices for hotels, here are a selection....
1. The Premier Inn, Kew. A quick booking check shows they have twin rooms available for £34.50 per person per night over the weekend in question.
This is probably the most central in Brentford for the two main pubs we will be in over the weekend....

2. The Holiday Inn is slightly less convenient for the Princess Royal but if you don't mind a short walk then they are a little cheaper with rooms available for £30.50 per person per night (these are twin double beds)

3. There is the also the Travelodge at Kew Bridge, this one is better placed for the Princess Royal and a short walk for the Magpie. They have rooms available but are a little more expensive (from my search) at £46 per person per night.

Finally, a quick amendment to the information on the events page - I am posting out tickets immediately I get orders and not waiting until the end of December as I suspect all spaces may be gone by then.......

In previous years, many sprouts have chosen to stay in the same hotel for these kind of events. Normally so we can drink in the bar till the early hours.
As far as I can tell, the travelodge is the only one with a bar. Anyone any further details? _________________ |

If I remember correctly it was the premier inn that many of us spent the wee small hours of the morning in on the Friday night of Brentcon, much to the disgust of the staff, that said it could have been any of them, I was very, VERY drunk at the time
Edit: Oh, and nice one Tim for splitting this topic off
You'll be pleased to hear that I have received, processed and drop yours and Loz's tickets in the post all in the last 8 minutes, is that efficient _________________ Who are you? Why am I here? I want answers now or I want them eventually!

I think you're right, it was the premier inn, but the facilities info on their website doesn't mention a bar.
and for the speedy dispatch. _________________ |

I can pop in and check it out but they did have a bar last time and the arseholes were complaning it was not a night club, and an American threatened to sue them if he could not get a drink as he was a resident. |

According to a bit of info on the site the Holiday Inn does indeed also possess one.
Wasn't it one of the customers that informed us it was a hotel not a nightclub at the Premier Inn? I forget. _________________ A Random Me

It was someone outside the door of Daz 'n' Dave's hotel room (known on subsequent nights as "Club Scally") at about 3am I believe. _________________

We shal be staying at our apartment in town, more commonly know as my Mothers house so will be relying on someone to let me borrow their room number when ordering at the bar after hours. I believe I used Staceys last time and then sold her to the afore mentioned American for an undisclosed number of Camels. _________________ Bob Flag is Watching You. |

I have booked to stay at the Travelodge. It's only £35 per night for me for a room on my own, which is cheaper than any other of the options I've seen apart from the Princess Royal.
They did charge me 15p extra for the SMS booking details option, but I thought it was well worth it. |

So, fairly low response on the poll. When do we de-poll and book, or have people already done so? _________________ A Random Me
