Yes folks it's another great CAMRA try-and-get-as-many-down-your-neck-in-one-day-as-is-humanly-possible beer festival. The great David Devereaux (he may be a good mate, but I've probably spelled his name wrong again, but you know who I mean) is officiating, as I believe is the mighty Mr Ian Case. And myself and the lovely wife (who is indeed growing lovelier by the day due to her dieting and exercise programme, how lucky am I?) will be heading along there for a late afternoon (and as long as they stay open) drinking session, this coming Wednesday. And this is in LONDON, not Brighton, so if any of you out there, who reside around and about The Big Smoke, would care to join us for as-near-to-a-pint-of-Large-as-you-are-likely-to-get-without-it-actually-being-a-pint-of-Large, then we'll see you there.
Anyone keen? I know it's a Wednesday, but call in sick on Thursday, I won't grass you up.

Very Happy

Is there a danger of this turning from a few mates having a beer into a full blown gathering of hardened drinkers like the Gunnersbury Park gig Rolling Eyes
I do hope so Laughing
So far Robert, Rachel, Dave, Hugh, Kelly, Graham and Myself (along with better Half, Annie; and Son, Damo) would appear to be coming along - any others?
The plan, and I say that loosely, is to find each other about 1900Hrs for a few jars and some talking of toot.

I could suggest hanging around the Fullers bar area P3 at around 7ish as a meeting point? See plan at:

You can buy and print your ticket online to beat the queues (thanks for the tip Dave):

1900 Hrs? I just love the military mind, it means that you are organised. Sso really looking forward to it. We may get there earlier, it just depends on how much work Raygun has to get through that day. But, yes indeed, it looks like a gathering.

Yes, darlings, I shall be around until about a quarter to ten - which is when I have to disappear and go on duty. Since I've got to be responsible I shall have to trust you to get completely legless on my behalf, but I've just had a walk around the floor and I think this year's bash is going to be a good'un.

Hope to see lots of you you lovely people there, especially my good mate Mr Rinkon. Wink

... And now I've got to go and check some cooling equipment.

Only just spotted this, but as it happens I'm planning to be at the beer festival tomorrow night anyway. So I'll see some of you there.

Well, wasn't that fun!!! I really have a stonking hangover now and am having a real job typing the right letters. So good to see you all and enjoy such amazing beer. Even the legendary Anders was there.
A wonderful night.
Blimey that's two in a single week, and I'm off out tonight and Raygun's playing a pub gig at The Bridge public house in Upper Beeding, Sussex on Saturday evening, so anyone in that neck of the wood please join me for a beer.
Bliss.

Was good, even if Rachel didn't find the "Beer that tastes exactly like Harvey's" bar.
I'm now five beers closer to when I can die, though I'm hoping that's not compulsory. And Anders is threatening me with special beer before I go to the pub on Sunday. Death might be closer than I thought.

Why on earth would anybody be looking for such a thing? Now I like the occasional pint of Harvey's (Olympia, Armada or Tom Paine in preference to the Sussex Best) but that distinctive Harvey's nutty taste does start to get on my tits after about the third pint. And then get on my trousers after about the sixth Wink
