Hi all,

I was under the impression that Hollow Chocolate Bunnies, The Antipope and Brightonomicon were the only audiobooks of Robert's available.

Having seen someone mention the Witches of Chiswick audiobook I did search on Amazon UK and US. For some reason they only have Witches a few of the others on the US site, the UK site only lists those at the very top of this post.

So, does anyone know where i might be able to get any of the other audiobooks from in the UK ?

I've found Nostradamus Ate My Hamster, The Witches of Chiswick, Knees up mother earth and The Fandom of the Operator on ebay. Are there any others out there ?

Oh, and I found this ebay (US) auction.

When i saw the title I thought it would be a good buy, but it appears the items on offer are just cds with the audiobooks in mp3 format. I assume this is actually illegal...? I haven't reported it to ebay yet, as i'd expect Robert reporting it would probably carry more weight with him being the author...

Kind Regards,
Dave.

Way back I ordered my audio books from here:

http://www.wfhowes.co.uk/clipper/audio.php

I got Nostrodamus, Fandom & Bunnies read by Rankin
& Website story read by some other guy.

The Antipope is more of a radio play style reading

Sorry to resurrect an old thread (can't be figged to start a new one, more like), but how many of Mr Rankin's fine books have been adapted as audio books?

Well hold on to your horses audiobook fans, because we here at Hokus Bloke Productions hope to be able to release quite a few more of the Robster's novels as audio readings in the not too distant future...plans are afoot and deals are being struck!

What's the betting that if we adapted Armageddon into a full-cast series I would get death threats from various religious nutters, and Elvis fans?

Actually, other than the Brentford books, it is the one book I REALLY want to do. I am working on a script right now, but as always, the finances are the real problem. But it's never stopped me before, so who knows what 2009/2010 will bring.

Audio=pleasure

It started out as a real musical, performed on stage back in the early eighties at Brentford when I was writer in residence at Waterman's Arts Centre. And how well do I recall the headline to the review it got in The Brentford and Chiswick Times.
"BLASPHEMY AND BAD TASTE MAKE ARMAGEDDON A DISASTER"
I swear to God.
But, in all fairness to the reviewer, it was CRAP!
I didn't have a publisher at the time (I'd been sacked from Pan) and i took Mike Petty (then editor at Bloomsbury) along to see it and said "I know it's a crap musical, but don't you think it would make a good book?"
And he did.
