There's a brilliant real ale pub very near to where I live at the moment called The Rowditch, unfortunately it's about a 20 minute walk from the city centre. The Wetherspoons is very good though we went in there once quite late (I can't for the life of me remember what the circumstances were). The Blessington Carriage is also a very nice pub with possibly the most powerful patio heaters ever.

I do love all this researching where the good pubs are so we can take the ale and talk the toot after the events, excellent, look forward to seeing you all.

It always pays to know where the good Ale pubs are

Yes, the Rowditch is excellent

Of the 2, The Babington is great for Ale, The Standing Order is far more "townie" & not so good for Ale (luckily the Bab is closer to Waterstones)

I went in there quite a bit as a student 10+ years back Shocked

I seriously doubt if it's changed that much except for the smoking ban (hence the patio heaters that cook the top of your head). Everyone seems so friendly in there.

I used to pick quite a few books up in there from the shelves above the bar...

Then please come and say hello, it will be lovely to see you. I have just realised what I've got myself into, imagine just how cold all those railway stations are going to be twice a day for a week. I will need thermal long johns.

Ah Tosh, the tour T shirts have been done and they are rather splendid and will be on sale on the launch weekend. My son did them for me and I am very pleased to say that he did a really professional job. They will probably be a limited edition, so buy several and flog what you don't want on ebay.

Any t-shirts left after the launch weekend will be available via the website shop - if demand is big enough I may consider the possibility of more being produced though they are "limited" edition and I don't want to swamp the market.
There will be a host of new goodies, including t-shirts, over the next couple of months, many will be limited editions! Watch out for the new site opening in January / February

Ian.

Unfortunately that means we can't get them in time for the signing tour spoiling the whole point somewhat.
Wouldn't it make much more sense to sell online first and then have any leftover available at the launch weekend?
