It's a magazine. http://www.thechap.net/
This is how it describes itself.
'The Chap takes a wry look at the modern world through the steamed-up monocle of a more refined age, occasionally getting its sock suspenders into a twist at the unspeakable vulgarity of the twenty-first century.'
Someone sent a picture of Doctor When in his explorers outfit to them and asked if he was a chap. In the photo I was next to him, weighed down with HIS shopping in plastic bags which he refused to carry because it would spoil the line of his jacket.
They declared most resoundingly that he was a chap and admired his fortitude in standing next to a fallen woman on her way to the workhouse, without flinching. _________________ All shall reap as they sow.... except the amateur gardener.

One of my friends is a regular reader of the magazine. There's some interesting articles. _________________ A Random Me

Thank you, he'll be very relieved to have the dress code confirmed.
I only wish we could make it to the Chap Olympiad this year. I'm sure Doctor When would be able to complete any obstacle course without spilling a drop of his G&T, mussing his trousers or losing his monocle.
I did receive a very nice apology from Gustav Temple of the Chap after I complained bitterly at their description of me. He is truly a gentleman. _________________ All shall reap as they sow.... except the amateur gardener. |

Would the wearing of a top hat, tails and spats be strictly considered "Chap"? I try to give the whole ensemble an outting as often as possible, though its sadly rare these days. Usually the Whitby Gothic Weekend is the only time it comes out of my wardrobe. Bloody pathetic huh?
Are kilts regarded as "Chap" or is that only if worn with a victorian army uniform so it looks like your in Carry on Up The Kyber? |

I believe on true Scotsman, they are perfectly acceptable. They get their spats in a twist when it's just a wedding uniform. _________________ All shall reap as they sow.... except the amateur gardener. |

May I take this opportunity to thank the nurse and the doctor for coming along to this. You both looked amazing and have clearly got starring roles in the video. Could you post up a link here to those wonderful pictures you took? |

Thank you, we weren't the only ones looking amazing! You can't beat steampunk for cutting a dash.
Here are the photos. I struggled a bit with the CO2 and bright lights, but some came out very well.

Looked great, wish I'd been able to make it along.
Somehow I was expecting it all to be shot outside around campfires, funny what you picture in your head isn't it.
When will we see the finished Vid? _________________ Just Have Fun |
