Probably very cheeky that my first ever post is a question... but nevermind!

In one of RRs books, there is a description of how every pound spent always makes its way back to the Government and a very compelling argument is made that essentially they have all the money. Does that make sense to anyone!?!

However, I can't remember which book this is in. Can anybody help please.

Many thanks

Leo.

I've read the passage, but don't recall which one it was in.

I've got a feeling it's either Raiders of the Lost Car Park or Book of Ultimate Truths, it has the ring of a Rune-ish theory to it and I think it's one of the Murphy/Tuppe novels.

I think it's later than that, but I could be wrong.

I think it's from Snuff Fiction. It's a scene where the "heroes" listen in on a secret meeting regarding the legalization of drugs...

Thanks all

I think the last one is the winner - I remember it being in a scene where people are listening to a secret meeting, so that must be the one!

Many thanks

I can't remember, but funnily enough it came up in conversation the other day, along with the one that, if my birthday is on the next day of the week the following year, how come it doesn't get later and later in the year as the years go by, so that an April birthday will actually be in May thirty years after you are born. Frankly I fail to understand the world at all. But it was a friend of mine who works in the Treasury who said that because there is pretty much a tax on everything somewhere down the line the Treasury do eventually get all your money.
Funny how they can't make ends meet, ain't it?
