Or you could just listen to it online through iPlayer here:

(You must be in the UK for this.)

Just listened to the final episode on iPlayer - well done to all involved, if anything I enjoyed the Radio play more than the book!
Very Happy

Let me just say how grateful I am to Neil for putting this wonderful. star-studded piece of work together, the lovely wife and I listened to the final episode and both got all emotional and had a little sniffle. You did an incredible job, Neil and we had a beer with Rupert (Rizla) this afternoon, as he may be coming down to live in Brighton.
I'm working hard on the sequel and you'll have it by Christmas.....so please please can we another series????
Thank you so very very much, my friend.

Just to add that I've thoroughly enjoyed listening to the radio serial, as have my wife and two children. It's very rare for all four of us to be so completely hooked by something that we'll listen to it in avid silence over thirteen consecutive weeks.

I've asked for the audio CDs for Christmas so that we can re-experience The Brightonomicon in all of its aural glory in due course. Many thanks to all involved, and congratulations on doing such a great job with it.

To be a Novel or just a Radio play?

Embarassed Embarassed Aw, shucks, thanks to everyone for the lovely messages...and especially to Robert who made it all possible, not just by writing the book in the first place, or by being a creative inspiration rivalling God himself, but for getting behind the project from day one and giving us his support, enthusiasm and trust.

As for sequels...I can't wait to get my hands on those new words Mr R! What a great Xmas pressie for me!! Now that I own the production company, I am looking to invest some of our own money in to getting the production off the ground, thereby not waiting for investment from the likes of the BBC. My aim is to have it all done by Xmas 2009, if not sooner. I know that the cast are all very interested in reprising their roles, or getting to play new ones, and I have many others who now want to take part...so watch this space.

If you want to help, do please let the BBC know that you enjoyed the first series...you could leave messages on the BBC7 message boards, or send a letter to Jan Paterson, the commissioning editor at BBC Audiobooks. And with Xmas coming up, do please consider buying the boxset as a present for someone. The more sales we get, the more likely the BBC are to recoup their investment and then the more likely they are to invest again. PLUS, it really is a lovely item, as Mr R himself will no doubt agree.

That all said, thanks again for the support and encouragement one and all - there is much more Rankin to be heard on radio, and possibly seen on TV/Film, and I promise I will keep doing all I can to make it a reality.

N Smile
