Now there was a previous thread up here about this, but I can't find it any more. As the closing party on 11th July at Gunnersbury Park Museum has had to be cancelled and a few kind folks here at Sproutlore have said "oh that's a shame we should really have a beer to say goodbye to the exhibition before it closes", various folk have been trying to organise something and the final something is that on 28th June we get together at the museum at 12.30 lunchtime, have a chinwag, sign the visitors book and then slope off to The Magpie and Crown in Brentford High Street to talk the toot and drink ourselves into whatever states of inebriation seem appropriate. It would be very nice to see as many of you as can make it,the exhibition was a very special thing to me and meant a lot. This is very much a spur of the moment idea on the part of several nice people and I am grateful for their kindness. So that's the deal and if you can make it , then wonderful.
Bestest
Robert

I know Ian and some of the boys were thinking of gathering to see it out and this sounds like a good idea indeed.

I will be along during the daytime at least and will get word out.

James

I hope it's safe for me to return to Brentford and there are no Ukranian accordionists waiting to deal out death and extreme violence to drunken hecklers Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed .

The previous thread is still there and i believe an invitation was sent out from Roberts Facebook page with lots of info on it.

It may not be an official event but I hope we can still count on James's pack with the devil covering us for the usual Guarenteed sunshine.

Its a shame we don't have more time for a guided tour of the park and the site of the Park Rangers Hut and maybe organise a Marquee with a lovely buffet and everyone dressed up in wellies and those white forensic boiler suit jobbies.

Maybe we can get the Magpie to put Robert Johnson and a bit of John lee Hooker on the jukebox aswell as the official DA DA DE DA DA DA CODE CD SOUND TRACK.

Just a note to everyone to make sure you mark the right date in your diary!

We did have 11th July in the title of the news item, which was the date of the original launch (though the correct date was in the body of the story).

It has now been corrected to 28 June.

Sorry I won't be able to make it, but I hope to see you all at Zombiecon.

James
